Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works with the other members of the MSAG High Performance Growth Organization to mature and advance MSAG’s competitive position with respect to target opportunities in anticipation of the final request for proposal (RFP).
  • Translates requirements into robust win strategy, carefully tested and validated, and advances strategy to management and technical design with strong value proposition and differentiated bid elements based on compelling features and benefits.
  • Gathers, assesses, and validates customer requirements working closely with Growth and Delivery leads -- identifies related needs and constraints that impact winning solution.
  • Creates Capture Plans to complete all capture milestones, Step Reviews, and other opportunity-specific tasks in MSAG’s growth lifecycle.
  • Presents opportunity updates to internal and external stakeholders to articulate MSAG’s competitive position, continually assess opportunity viability, and gain executive approval for the resources to bid opportunities.
  • Keeps opportunity status and information up to date in MSAG’s internal opportunity tracking system.
  • Leads and negotiate teaming agreements and strategic alliances.
  • Assesses probable competition and evaluates relative strengths and threats -- conducts Black-hats, competitive scenarios, etc.; and
  • Identifies gaps and develops strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrable Capture Management success including contracts won; $100M+ full and open contracts preferable.   
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline and 6+ years of capture management experience.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience leading teams with members from a variety of different organizations and functional responsibilities.
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers.
  • Understands processes for project management, contracts, pricing, and proposal development, specifically in relation to positioning for bids and contributing to proposals.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills; and
  • Personal accountability for quality of performance, deliverables, and end products.
Travel: Periodic travel may be required.
