Opportunity to support cutting edge advancements in aviation, specifically related to new and emerging aircraft technology. Support research and development to include human factors, avionics, and airspace studies in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The facility includes a fleet of simulators of the following types: business jets, airliners, helicopters, and general aviation aircraft.
In the Senior Electrical Engineer role, the candidate will have the opportunity to analyze real aircraft functionality in a simulation environment and derive performance data about the operation of the system in order to replicate it, and to enable integration with other cockpit systems sufficient to support aerodynamic programming and systems modeling.
Create custom input/output/control interface circuits for aircraft simulators, including digital and analog circuitry, microcontrollers, or FPGAs.
• Develop radio (RF) antenna solutions for aircraft data communications projects.
• Demonstrated ability to source, test, install, and operate avionics in simulated or genuine aircraft environments.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the associated task areas
a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electronics engineering is required.
