Mid-Level Operations Planner
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Secret Clearance
Location: Naples, Italy
The Operations Planner will possess at least three years of experience planning military Major Command–level, or equivalent naval operations at the mid-career level.
• The Operations Planner will conduct analysis to support the development of operations plans and strategies including: description of the operation, identification of work to be done (planning tasks), budget projections, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM). Deliverables shall be submitted to Contracting Officers Representative (COR) within ten business days of being assigned each project and updated as required to maintain currency. The Ops Planner will inform the COR of planning limitations, budgetary shortfalls, and issues or problems impacting the exercise. Scope and depth of all analysis projects are not currently known. Depending on the complexity, deliverables shall be due to the COR along mutually-agreed upon timelines.
• The Ops Planner will provide monthly status reports (MSR) to the COR no later than the 10th of each month. MSR format shall be mutually-agreed upon between the Government and the contractor, but shall include at a minimum planned events (key dates and milestones) for the up-coming month, activities completed for the prior month, contractor staffing issues, and up-coming known absences.
• The Ops Planner will assist staff to identify mission-focused training objectives satisfying the Commander's mission/training requirements and integrate them into exercise design.
• The Ops Planner will assist with the scheduling, planning, and facilitating of JFHQ operations planning conferences and other planning events as required achieve desired exercise objectives and end states, participate as an active team member in any such planning conferences, and will attend all relevant planning meetings, conferences, and exercise events.
