The Travel Coordinator will serve as a liaison for facilitating travel arrangements between the employee and the travel agency to ensure travel requirements are met and reviewed for accuracy, cost –effectiveness and policy adherence.  The Travel Coordinator will also serve as the main point of contact for travel-related issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate CONUS/OCONUS travel arrangements (flights, ground transportation, lodging, etc.)
  • Advise staff about their travel arrangements and ensure travel complies with corporate policies and client regulations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with travel vendors
  • Ensure travel pre-authorization requests are submitted through JAMIS to ensure accurate tracking for travel
  • Coordinate/research passport and visa requests
  • Assist in the preparation of complete and accurate travel reimbursement packages, ensuring all expenses are properly documented and submitted in a timely manner
  • Maintains ODC spreadsheet to ensure funding availability for travel
  • Works with Program Managers and Contracts Administration to ensure proper ODC funding available for staff
  • Update and maintain travel profiles in CONCUR system
  • Reconcile and post credit card charges for travel
  • Provide cost estimates to client
  • Maintains Defense Based Act spreadsheet for travel
  • Assist Contracts Administration with funding and deobligations for task orders relating to ODCs
  • Creates policies for travel
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ or Associates’ Degree in an appropriate field of study or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Government Contract travel and understanding of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)
  • Action oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
